Hi, crocheters! I decided to create a blog that will capture my journey into the world that is crocheting. You're more than welcome to join me in this adventure!

I had picked up on the craft about twelve years ago. I was working at a customer service/telemarketing place and had seen quite a few of the ladies with their hooks, yarn and some even with their cross stitch accessories! I was beyond curious and there was one woman kind enough to introduce me to both worlds. Unfortunately, I had found out that learning how to crochet and handling an upset customer wasn't something I was a master of!

Twelve years later, I picked up my crochet hooks and yarn and went back over the basics. I have a lot more time on my hands than those many years ago and I've successfully completed three projects! :D My goal? To complete more, of course; as well as to become more skilled at this!

What am I wanting to post? My completed projects, my projects that I'm working on and eventually... some free patterns! I would like to hear from you guys as well so don't be shy!

Oh... another thing I want this blog to do: help out those just starting out! I've scoured a ton of free patterns and found that a lot of them just... give you the instructions, not explaining what the stitches are. I know that there are others out there like me: I would forget my name if I wasn't so vain about it... or if it wasn't tattooed right on me! Sometimes, we need reminders and hate to go to Google just to refresh our memories on how to do a double crochet! Whenever I give out a pattern, I will make sure to put in those helpful reminders. It'll be redundant to the more experienced crocheters but the beginners will (hopefully) love it!

Ear Bud Covers

Finished : March 19, 2015 Yarns Used: Caron Simply Soft Party- Purple Sparkle So, here's the thing. I was going through my Ravelry account and using that as a reference as far as these posts. The problem is that I have other projects that I've completed not on Ravelry, and the only pictures of said projects are on Deviant Art. This is one of them. I'm certain that this pattern didn't take me long at all and possibly started it the same day I finished. Also, I'm not so sure about the size of the hook that I used. Remember that horrible party yarn? Yeah, I had a lot left over and decided to try to use it up. This picture is trash so you can't really see the sparkle. Maybe a little. It's Been A While...

Gotta love when this thing called life gets in the way of things! I know that I've been absent so I apologize. First things first: the temperature blanket has been frogged. Maybe with another year approaching, I'll become serious about it once more. It was doomed from the start: I wasn't aware of a project like that until a month after it should've started. Then, I'm always finding better patterns to work with: I'm very indecisive when it comes to basically everything in my life. I still have a lot of unfinished projects but the main priority is to finish my grandmother's blanket before her birthday. Hopefully, I'll post pictures of the progress soon. The pattern is called  Sophie's Universe  and it's a CAL (or a Crochet Along). I'm assuming that it was meant to last for a year, if not at least half a year. But it only took me a week to reach part 3; if I keep at it, I will reach my goal in time.  That's basically it. Not much ...
