Updates, Updates, Updates
Well, I call this an update and it is? But I don't feel like going into the heavy details as far as where I've been so I'll just say that I'm sorry for abandoning this blog and my three fans of it.
I will try to do better in the near future.
I might revamp this and separate my boring, every day posts from the crafty ones.
I've gone through so many projects, I have no idea where to begin. I'll try to have each blog entry focus on one project at a time unless I frogged it.
The last entry that concerned crocheting was about two projects I was working on: a BFF crochet-a-long and a surprise for my husband's nephew. Both have long since been frogged. I've restarted that flag blanket so many times and each time, I stop and move to other things. It has nothing to do with my friend because I love her to death and I want nothing more than to crochet alongside her. I'm just a serious procrastinator and also, she has a term for what I do but I can't remember it. I love to start things, be it crocheting, cross-stitch, or even a story. But finishing? You can forget it! LOL
This is why I have so many WIPs, crocheting, and stories.
Alright, enough of my rambling. I guess I can go through my Ravelry projects and go from there.
The earliest project I posted on there was a shawl I made for a friend. It wasn't my first completed crochet project, that honor goes to these mittens. Those poor mittens; I will definitely remake them in the near future, now that I'm more experienced.
Also, this was before I knew how to take pictures apparently! 😂 Unfortunately, these were the only pictures I have of this shawl. I want to try out something a little different when I post about a project so here goes.
Pineapple Lace Shawl
Found In: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pineapple-lace-shawl-3 (actually, I downloaded a free ebook from All Free Crochet called "16 Crochet Shawl Patterns". This site has a TON of free patterns and free ebooks to grab.
Hook Used: J/6mm/Possibly Boye
For: One of my best friends
Started: Sometime in 2014
Finished: Jan 24, 2015
Yarns Used: Caron Simply Soft Eco- Dark Sage
I don't remember much about this project except for the fact that I was excited to have finished it. She seemed happy to receive it but I've never seen her wear it since. I'm not one of those who need to physically see you wear what I make for you or even buy you but not gonna lie, it helps a bit because it shows that you really care about it.
Regardless, I will make this shawl again and this time, I will take better pictures!
A reminder that I will always give credit where credit is due so if you don't see a link then the pattern is my own which... I only have one so there's that!
Happy Hooking and Stay Safe!
