I Kinda Lied...
Well, "lied" is such a terrible word. Especially because it wasn't my intentions.
I think I've mentioned once before that I am a procrastinator. Another one of my horrible flaws is that I love to start projects but never finish them. In these past two cases, I'll even frog projects altogether. This happens when I hit a major snag and since I have to frog a row or three to get to the problem, might as well cancel the whole thing!
That's just the way I think on a lot of these crocheting projects of mine.
My last post, I told you that I ditched my year project of the temperature blanket and started on a Sophie's Universe one for my grandmother. Somehow, I must've skipped a few steps because it started to come out very wrong, particularly towards the part where the mandala was to be squared. I frogged the rows several times to the point where it looked as though it would not be finished on time for my grandmother. Instead, I worked on the Super Cool Hexagon Throw. I started on November 4th and finished it on November 19th. I missed sending it out for her birthday but it's in the mail as we speak :D
I honestly believe that makes ten projects I've completed so yay, me!
I am currently working on three blankets, one that needs to be done by this weekend. So, this post is gonna be jammed pack with crocheting tidbits!
I owe my mother a blanket. I've tried and tried for the past... three years? But that frogging thing always happened. I've started on a Crossword Lovers Throw for her because she absolutely loves crossword puzzle books (not the ones with the crosswords only but the ones with all the other puzzles included as well).
The second one is a baby blanket for a friend of mine who just recently found out that he's a father. He's going to visit his son next weekend and asked if I could crochet a blanket for him. I agreed. Pictures will be added/edited in; I thought that I took one with my phone but it was for Messenger only...
The last one is the second reason for this post. I'm working on a semi-big project because I became inspired by a woman on Deviant Art. She has taken on the task of crocheting a Pokemon blanket and it looks absolutely stunning! After searching, I made my decision and have started on a graph project.
That was taken after ten rows. I want to go ahead and put this out in the open right now: letters are a bitch. I'm to the point where the lettering is complete; it doesn't look right to me but the husband said it does: it is readable. Since it's going to be my blanket, I'll just roll with it.
So! Seeing that it's a mystery, everything will be revealed in the next post! By then, I would have completed another ten rows and you guys will know what I'm working on, for the most part. Stay tuned, folks! :D
