Quick Recap

Image
Just a quick reminder that I'm going through a slight revamp of my blogs. I want to dedicate this particular blog to my crafts, which will include crocheting and cross-stitch; maybe one day, knitting.  Currently, I have 4 blogs: one for my crafts, one for my writing, one for my every day, boring life, and a shared one with my BFF about our life living with diabetes. I will try to keep things separated because some people may not want to hear about what goes on in my life, or my struggle with writing. But  if you want to follow all of my blogs, I'll be happy! Memphis State Slouchy

Image
Not even gonna apologize for the bombardment... Diagonal Shell Slouch Beanie Found In :  https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/diagonal-shell-slouch-beanie Hook Used : K/6.5mm For : Self Started : Feb 12, 2015 Finished : Feb 12, 2015 Yarns Used : Red Heart Super Saver- Royal RHSS- White RHSS- Heather Gray Unfortunately, this pattern is no longer available digitally. I can't remember exactly where I found this pattern and I've gone through all of the patterns I've saved on my computer and crochet bookmarks. I can tell you that it was finished in an hour, maybe two so it was at the time, the easiest hat pattern I had worked. The problem is that back then, I had no idea how slouchy hats worked and stuffed all of my dreads inside of the hat. I complained that there wasn't much slouch and now: duh, Jay- you wore it absolutely the wrong way! To be fair, that makes me not a slouch hat fan and I prefer regular beanies. Anywho. Summer Morning Shawl

Image
Yes, I am doing one of the biggest no-nos in blogging by bombarding with constant posts!  Y'all need to catch up so, yeah... Summer Morning Shawl Found In :  https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/yes-yes-shawl-smaller  (again, I actually found this pattern in the "16 Crochet Shawl Patterns" ebook) Hook Used : G/4mm/Possibly Susan Bates For : Sister-in-law Started : .... Finished : June 27, 2014 Yarns Used : ..... As you can see, the only things I remember about this shawl are: the size of the hook, who it was for, and when it was finished. Even that is iffy because I think I may have just gone through my pictures and used the date the picture was taken. To my credit, 9/10 the date of finishing a project is the same date as the taking of the picture. I can tell you this: I did NOT use the yarn that the pattern called for. Unfortunately, this shawl is long gone: my sister-in-law accidentally washed it in a regular cycle and the machine unraveled and ate it up. So, ...

Updates, Updates, Updates

Image
Well, I call this an update and it is? But I don't feel like going into the heavy details as far as where I've been so I'll just say that I'm sorry for abandoning this blog and my three fans of it. I will try to do better in the near future. I might revamp this and separate my boring, every day posts from the crafty ones. I've gone through so many projects, I have no idea where to begin. I'll try to have each blog entry focus on one project at a time unless I frogged it.  The last entry that concerned crocheting was about two projects I was working on: a BFF crochet-a-long and a surprise for my husband's nephew. Both have long since been frogged. I've restarted that flag blanket so many times and each time, I stop and move to other things. It has nothing to do with my friend because I love her to death and I want nothing more than to crochet alongside her. I'm just a serious procrastinator and also, she has a term for what I do but I can't remem...
